Life so far

It seems I have finally gotten my internal clock reset! This is great news because I was getting concerned I would be on Texas time for a while. Its nice to wake up at 6:30 and enjoyning the quite time before we start our day.
We have been trying to get familiar with our new town and its customs. I have to say it has been easier than I expected.
I am enjoying living in our apartment and watching the locals go about their day to day lives. Children playing throughtout the street and the honking of car horns. The call to prayer is still an awesome experience. Its hard to explain but I am very thankful for this opportunity and what this experience means to my family.
I am thankful that we are here with people we know. It sure makes it easier to adjust. We have had so many stop us and say Welcome to Egypt.
As far as site seeing we have not done much yet because we have a year we can pace ourselves. I do want to go to the ocean soon!
I still have not cooked a meal here yet-stop laughing Denise!-Yes I am going to cook soon. I hope to learn how to prepare a meal that they eat here. Might need to take a lesson though first. I hope to take arabic classes and I want to take scuba diving lesson too. We are going to meet with the CAC staff soon to see if Kief is wanting to enroll or finish homeschooling. I hope that helps Kief make up his mind, he is still undecided.
