Cemetery Egyptian Style

On the way home from the bazaar James drove through the cemetery to get some pictures. What you don't see is that the roads go through the cemetery like its a neighborhood. People live there and I think it's all so interesting.
I love walking through reading headstones, and I can't wait to go and spend time learning about how Egyptians live among their deceased relatives. So there will be much more to come.

The weather has changed a little. It seems a little cooler than it has been. It gets darker earlier just like at home. The has been no rain here since we got here. They don't get a whole lot of rain here. I am stating the obvious.

We are 16 days into Ramadan and other than lights on our street I don't notice to much of a change. The fasting is from dawn to dusk and I don't know how they do it. The hours at most shops have changed so that they close earlier, but people are still working outside and you know they have to be thirsty. You don't want to be on the road from about 3-5 because these tired hungry thirsty people are trying to get home, and it is crazy on the road even when its not Ramadan. I have been talking about putting a video up to show everyone cause you are not going to believe it so in a few weeks I will put one up ( okay I am trying to figure out how to put the video on the Internet). The driving doesn't bother me but its definitely different than home. You just have to see it to believe it.

Some friends of ours went to the Red Sea this past weekend to visit the resort James and I stayed at (Stella De Mare). They drove themselves instead of having a driver drive them. They found it just fine but they got a ticket for speeding on the way. Other friends of ours went a couple weeks back and they never made it to the Red Sea! That group ended up at the Mediterranean Sea! Anyway back to the ticket, so they get pulled over and the ticket started out at I think 100 LE and they ended up paying 50 LE right there on the side of the road! No proof, no court date, no one to tell your side of the story to! I have no idea what happens when you don't pay, and I am not sure I want to know. That's not true I am sure I don't want to know what happens if you don't pay. So hopefully I can find out more about this from someone who's been here longer.

Yesterday we went to the City Stars Mall. I have been before and I mentioned it in some earlier post. Next time I go I will take the camera this mall is huge! It is expensive though. The Tommy Hilfiger Store is nice like home but the cloths are more expensive than home. There are quite a few stores that we have at home, and then of course a bunch more that we don't. Lots of eye glass stores, not as many of electronic stores. The Nike store prices are really high as well.

Maybe I can find some great stuff in Greece!
